LE VIEUX PORT

Marseille is famous for its old harbour, at the center of French social life, have a drink, eat some seafood, buy some fresh fish and celebrate/commiserate on the OM games! You can stop on Place Estienne d'Orves for a cup of coffee in the sun. In the middle of the port you will be able to take the ferry boat, the smallest regular shipping line in the world which will take you from one side of the port to the other.

LE PANIER

Perched on a small hill, this is Marseille's oldest district. Start your path from the town hall, located on the Vieux Port, and enjoy getting lost in the maze of narrow streets, feel the atmosphere of a typical Provencal village on Place des Moulins and admire Place Panisses historic building dating from the 17th century ...

LE VALLON DES AUFFES

A picturesque little harbor, nestled in the heart of the hill that hides many colorful boats, the famous "pointus" of Marseilles. To access this secret place, stop on the ledge at the Memorial of the Eastern Army (a bronze statue of a woman with her arms raised to heaven), find the small stairs under the bridge: the port lies below. NOTRE DAME DE LA GARDE

Emblem of the city, the Basilica of Our Lady watches over and protects Marseilles, hence the inhabitants calling it the Good Mother. Notre Dame has an amazing panoramic view of the city. This is quite a clim and you must take water with you but it is totally worth it!
