Aix en Provence, the enchanted town

I am not biaised at all when I say that Aix is certainly one of the prettiest city you will ever go to! Old windy street, wonderful churches, amazing houses, incredible cafes, delicious restaurants. You can find many information on the city website, in English for the one who need:

But listed below are my favourites:
-Saturday morning market, all over town
-Pavillon Vandome, 10 minutes from the centre, can be done walking, very pretty garden and house
-Place d'Albertas (check out the balconies and remember the French libertinage)
-Climbing Sainte Victoire (go early, it does get hot!), by car or by navette
-Going to the Calanque, French rock beach with amazing walks involve
-The villages in the Luberon, Friday, market day in Lourmarin, Vauvenargue and its castle...
-Marseille for a day if you have enough time

Getting around

Aix en Provence is a small beautiful city, and walking is recommended (especially between the townhall and the church, which should take you around 10 minutes, depending on how many stops you make on the way, after all, there is bars, cafes and bakeries all the way, not to mention free wine testing at monoprix on that date).

However, the party will be a bit out of town, and if you don't have a car, I would advise you to book a taxi. Below are the numbers/website for a few companies:
